Lovely French speaking Belgian group with whom i spent 3 days touring various areas of the Netherlands! How fun for once to speak French as i learned it in Geneva, with “septante”, “nonante” etc! What fun Belgians are; I miss them here, do not get too many Belgian groups, as opposed to New York; but, in compensation, get to visit their lovely country a lot more: will be heading to Ghent shortly, for the so called “Ghentse Feesten” a 10 day party with various bands and lots of different types of music being played throughout city center, mixed in with folkloric processions, etc. Great fun! Come and join us!๐

Arrival of new herring celebrated with music, herring, Heineken beer, and auctioning off of a whole barrel of (delicious!) herring and dancing into the night! Naturally we were there to record this, lol!๐

Some moments during busy “bulb” season: Colleague doing walking tour with bicycle and dog (and amazed but happy passengers), putting my French “gentle walker” in a “taxi” to circumvent walking requirement in Amsterdam, old fashoined tram from 50s last century passing by on Rembrandt Square..; wedding pictures in Hotel Volendam in Katwoude!

Super evening with Mark Rutte, our prime minister, who was also positive about tourism!
Delicious dinner in Haesje Claes preparing for 2018 season traffic steeple chase caused by new city ordinances๐

Some great moments at NFTGA: “State of tourism in US, wonderful time at “laBuca” on Locust street, and the great dessert they served us! ๐

Great Evening celebrating New Years’ Eve at a friend’s house; and finally getting to see the full view of all the fireworks Amsterdam is so (in)famous for, before it possibly becomes illegal next year!๐

Had a great time touring MEF School from Istanbul this past week.. Here they are at NEMO Science Museum and an emotional farewell to some of them in front of Maxwell’s Steakhouse.
